Frequently asked questions

What is Microblading?

Microblading is a semi-permanent eyebrow enhancement technique where a technician uses a fine blade to create hair-like strokes, depositing pigment into the skin to give the appearance of fuller, more natural brows.

How long does Microblading last?

Microblading typically lasts between 12 to 18 months, depending on skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. Oily skin may require more frequent touch-ups, while dry skin might retain the pigment longer.

Is Microblading painful?

Most clients experience only mild discomfort during the procedure. It feels like light scratching or slight pressure. Everyone’s pain tolerance varies, but it’s generally tolerable.

How long does the procedure take?

The initial microblading session usually takes around 1 to 2 hours. This includes time for a final consultation, shaping the brows, and performing the procedure. Touch-up appointments are typically shorter.

What is the healing process like?

he healing process takes about 7 to 14 days. Immediately after the procedure, the brows may appear darker and bolder than expected. Over the healing period, they will soften and lighten. It's normal for some flaking or peeling to occur.

What should I avoid after Microblading?

During the healing process, you should avoid:

  • Excessive sweating (no intense exercise)

  • Sun exposure and tanning

  • Submerging your face in water (no swimming or saunas)

  • Makeup on the brow area

  • Picking or scratching the treated area

How do I care for my brows after Microblading?

Aftercare is crucial to ensure good results. I will provide you with specific instructions and aftercare kit, which typically include keeping the brows clean, applying a recommended ointment, and avoiding excessive moisture or touching of the area.

Is a touch-up required?

Yes, a touch-up is typically required 4 to 6 weeks after the initial procedure to perfect the shape, fill in any gaps, and adjust the color if needed. After that, maintenance touch-ups are recommended every 12 to 18 months to keep the brows looking fresh.

Can Microblading be done on any skin type?

Microblading works well on most skin types, but those with oily or sensitive skin may experience faster fading or less defined strokes. I will assess your skin and advise on the best approach.

Who should avoid Microblading?

Microblading may not be suitable for people who:

  • Are pregnant or nursing

  • Have certain skin conditions (eczema, psoriasis, etc.) near the brow area

  • Are undergoing chemotherapy

  • Have uncontrolled diabetes or other conditions affecting healing

  • Take blood-thinning medications

How do I prepare for a Microblading session?

Before your appointment, avoid alcohol, caffeine, and blood-thinning medications (such as aspirin) for at least 24 hours. You should also refrain from tweezing, waxing, or tinting your brows a few days before the procedure.
